Kat Stratford & Moody Boho

I'd firstly like to say I hope everyone's had a very merry Christmas and these few days have been full of happiness and positivity for you all :) Okay, I'm basically pretty much rubbish at having enough time to blog. But it gives me a perfect New Year's Resolution to try and get a routine going on when I post! But I've decided I'd like to turn this into a fashion/photography blog, with a couple of beauty and lifestyle posts dotted here and there.

Now today's outfits (although very different) seem to share a rather dark palette; Eva sporting a very 90's, rebel 'Kat Stratford' inspired look, and me an ensemble that's although slightly sweeter,  has a moody aura.

I really love the long leather jacket in the first outift. It just brings back a really raw 90's look, popular among indie rock feminists, and with a simple crop top of darker colours such as burgundy or deep green to show off the abdominal region (a refusal to the social/school guidelines of no stomach, bra strap or too much leg on show?) Throw on some ripped, faded jeans and a pair of docs or boots to complete the piece.

For the second look I'm extremely proud to be modelling and sharing this tweed pleated skirt created by my very own best pal Eva Rogers! One of the main things I love about this skirt is the cut. How it falls just at the top of the knee; a length very in season along with the just-above-the-ankle skirts. The colour and material also fit beautifully with the great British countryside which is a bonus for me! For the top half I decided to go for a long sleeved velvet black top (this one was part of a leotard) or perhaps if you decide not to tuck the top into the skirt, wear a jumper that falls just over the top rim of the skirt, a style very in if you've seen the December and January vogue! To top off the boho look, I simply added a black hat (I don't generally tend to wear many hats except wintery knits, but I really enjoyed wearing it, especially with this outfit!) and a pair of black loafers with white socks to add a slight touch of brightness to the piece.

I hope this was a nice post for everyone and I'm really excited to do more of these on the future! A merry merry Christmas to everyone :)

Positively,
Bel
