Glasses, white knits & Grandma skirts

I hope everyone has had a lovely start to the year and have high optimism for the days to come :)
Now although these photos were taken before New Year, due to festivities and dreaded science mocks I've been unable to post until now. I feel as though plant hormones, balancing equations, and hydrocarbons will be the pure death of me.
On a brighter note though here is a fresh fashion post straight from the field behind Eva's house. Enjoy...:)

Okay so once Eva has a hold of my glasses, I won't get them back for hours on end. But they make a lovely addition to this outfit of a creamy light brown duffel coat (have you heard brown is the new black?) with a simple light grey v-neck and jeans. What I love is how extremely simple this outfit is, but seems to always timelessly look good! With perhaps a pair of docs for a dash of indie or some chelsea boots to complete the effortless city chic look?

Now onto some pretty exciting stuff for me as I have seen this look appear in many magazines and although this skirt may be slightly shorter, it still has the desired effect. Funnily enough this was my Great Grandma Heather's skirt and I found this among a number of beauties that I now regularly wear. Along with a high-necked white knit (courtesy of my sister) I really love this outfit and feel that it perfectly fits in with this season's looks. Perhaps with a long sleeved crop or simple slim top tucked in would be nice to show off the waist line and top of the pleats in this skirt, but this look, although different, seems to work in my mind. For socks and shoes I decided to follow through with the black and white as I was also wearing white nail polish and it seemed appropriate to go for simple white ankle socks and black loafers.

I hope you liked this post and its accompanying photos and although I managed to get some winter wonderland shots on a family walk (perhaps my next post) I'm praying to the snow lords for more snow so that I can do a winter rendition of the autumn shoot with a bunch of lovely faces I can gladly call my friends :)

Positively,

Bel
